Emotional ups and downs are what add color and feeling to life. Without them, we would be very bored. As participants in the world of duality, we must experience the lows to appreciate the highs. That's why we ride roller-coasters--to allow us to experience the thrill of the unknown lying beyond each curve and hill. Looking at the world around you, you can see that human beings have a tendency to create drama if their lives seem to lack it. But knowing that life is like a roller-coaster, we can consciously choose to appreciate the peace between the highs and lows because we know there is bound to be one or the other beyond the next rise or curve. By accepting the emotional roller-coaster, you allow yourself to fully feel what it is to be alive.
